How to Remove Outside Cat Urine Odors
- 1). Remove any cat feces from the area with a shovel. If you leave the feces it will encourage cats to return to the area.
- 2). Add 16 oz. of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide, 2 tsp. baking soda, and 1 tsp. liquid laundry detergent to the squirt or spray bottle. Put the cover on the bottle and shake gently to mix.
- 3). Spray or squirt the area with the solution. Saturate the cat urine area thoroughly. If you are working on a larger area, you may need to mix and apply another batch of the solution. Likewise, if the area is porous (such as concrete) you may need to apply a few batches of the mixture to allow it to soak in.
- 4). Allow the solution to dry. These three ingredients work together to break down the cat urine. No scrubbing is necessary as long as you make sure that you have saturated all affected areas with the liquid.
